Are glassdoor reviews removed by companies when they are on hiring spree?

Nope, Glassdoor does not allow removing reviews afaik (they are absolute on this)

But companies compensate by posting fake reviews that are very positive (Eg- Cons: none that I can think of)

They allow it. We used to do it in my last company.

@Samesorner - Tell us more! How do they do it? Do they pay Glassdoor?

Reading these comments makes me feel like a decentralised review platform is needed

I think Decentralised is not the solution. Companies already have enough resources to show their best picture they would exploit decentralised networks as well. Companies will buy people who are ready to sell themselves.
Maybe a trustable autonomous body in between. Like competition commission of India?

Hmm that sounds good but very expensive. A good idea tho

If they don't do it, will anyone here take a paid membership to have the platform bias free?

Companies pay to get their ratings up so don't trust Glassdoor or any other public sites.
