I am tired
Tired of every fucking thing in this city. Born and brought up in this city. Life was good. However its not the same now. Fucking overpopulation, overcrowding, over expensive rent, food, where are we heading. Public transport is good, lol, try traveling for your 9-5 job. Roads are broken. Traffic is terrible. Monsoon about to worsen things more. A pm wants to conduct a rally in this city, and my 1.5 hours of travel turns out to be of 4.5 fucking hours. Have just watched 2people fall off the local train. Someone has to step in and please do something. Please stop the population from increasing. Please do something.
Nothing is going to change by whining on grapevine and asking someone to do something.
Be the change you want to see. Move to a tier 2 city - where things would be better. Look for remote work or better start something and give employment to folks in tier2 cities. (Or move out of India)
Btw nothing with be perfect anywhere. Everywhere there will be some pros or cons. It's just a matter of what cons you are ok living with.
Also, overpopulation is a problem which is not going to get solved for in our lifetime. Building more public infra is also not the solution... As it will just crumble down under population pressure. Problem is population density concentrated in tier1 cities due to economic activities and jobs being there in tier1 cities. Unless people don't start creating opportunities and value chains in other geographies - nothing is going to change.
Bhai wo born n brought up in Mumbai hai, why would he move to Tier 2
OP thak gaya hai.. Mumbai se. Population se.
I am also living in Mumbai since a long time now so can understand where he is coming from.. But thing is - either you accept the environment around you or you do something to change environment around you.
Same in Bangalore. Everything is expensive, traffic is crazy and poor infrastructure.
About moving to tier2, how many of us dependent on IT jobs can move to tier2 with decent job opportunity in hand? I’m also worried about career growth and opportunities tier2 city offers. How many can confidently take a bold step to quit job in hand and explore something new in whole new place?
Wholeheartedly agree with you. Mumbai has become shit
Mumbai is great for super rich. Enjoy the sea view. But for average Indians it's nothing more than a slum. Move out and get work in villages via NREGA.
Story time: Bengaluru nights
This happened to my ex flatmate in 2019. He's a Chinese Indian guy from Kolkata (relevant), was working an entry level job at a FAANG company going home after a night shift on his bike.
