All the post here is about toxic work place. give a shout out to your company if you have an awesome culture
what is the best thing about working your company ?
I might sound like a sore thumb out , but as a contractor from TCS for a US retail giant .. The work is pretty good I fortunately only have to work with client software engineering teams alone , and all they care is getting the work done timely . The engineers are very respectful , supportive and interesting people to work with . The client manager is fun too .

There we said it. TCS has the best work culture
TCS has the worst work culture. Here the work culture of client company may be good.

Blinkit had it's cons, but it was a very high growth environment. A lot of things in life, thinking skills all i would attribute to my time there, if you were courageous you can literally act like a founder. But with high growth also comes intense competition (that's cool) and politics, that was difficult for me.
Bullshit. Regularly staying at the office post midnight, unrealistic timelines and then cutting them even shorter, forcing a compromise on quality of deliverables.
Inextensible designs with crappy implementations, and just do a bare minimum attitude (due to constraints) is really useless for a dev in the long term.
Vayrs, Assembly, Cart, Dragonstone, Pricing, WMS.
Backlogs for fixing tech debts in new services are created even before the old one is deprecated.
New services have close to 0% test coverage.
So many services run on Python2.7 with Django 1.8.6
Django 5 was released last week.
Combined with extreme politics, the folks inside need a reality check. Sure it's high comp. I can make 50L++ as SDE-2, but it ain't helping anyone.
Depends on the team. I wasn't part of the sde team. Mein data side pe tha. Blinkit me data team is at the core of every initiative
Depends on person to person
I personally loved the work I did, not politics. I didn't mind staying late because I had the freedom to pick my own projects and deliver

Second that
Did an intern at Hyperverge around a year back- amazing culture & people
Google. Never seen toxic things happen. It’s the opposite of it, almost a little too protected
But it’s nice that a company cares so much about culture
Oracle - Working environment and worklife is good. Culture is collaborative. I am not making any comments about compensation/remuneration. I have been pretty impressed by the internal mobility/flexibility, people helping each other at work without a line of authority and co-workers respecting boundaries (as long as you set the expectations).

Still waiting for some shoutouts :p
Revfin , Delhi . Great people and no undue pressure of growth like we have at companies like chola , bread , kaaju and other such companies. Now I realised there's another way of working where you do not have to feel like there's a fire under your ass everyday to get things done as quickly as possible.

Can vouch for work culture at YouGov any given day!
Amazing place to be in and fortunately I have a great manager too, cheery on the top....
Flyhomes, one of the best cultures I've ever seen
Layoffs were tough and brutal definitely when the market was very bad
But everything outside that is topnotch
And they do seem to have learned from the layoffs and are no longer hiring till it seems important and say they don't want to have to repeat this process ever again

Every company is great until targets do not happen and sustenance is not cushioned by any promoters.

I work at a pre seed company (can’t name it only because it’s a fairly small team and I think I can easily get doxxed xD) but I honestly love my team. What sticks out to me is that I have an amazing manager who takes the time to help me when needed and I don’t feel stranded, honest feedback, and amazing peers who got each others back. Most importantly, the respect for my time and estimates I give for my deadline.
Ninjacart- contrary to whatever has been said in all the online platforms, the culture here is super impressive. Smart people and trying to crack a difficult industry requires a tough mindset. Fortunate to work with a team that actually gets work done, both strategically and on the ground.
