Hello all, I have got a SDE-1 offer from one of the biggest fintech companies in India. What in-hand salary should I expect monthly? The CTC breakup:- 1. Fixed - 14,40,000 2. Variable- 3,00,000 3. Retention- 60,000
This will depend on if they’re paying variable and retention monthly or at the end of the year.
For getting an estimate put the fixed with any tax deductions in a tax calculator — expect around 1.05 to 1.25
Ask the HR of the fintech to share this ‘your monthly expected’ calculations with you.

Multiply by 0.75 to get a ballpark figure assuming you’ve maxed out all tax saving instruments.
