Hike!! a confusing tale !!

Last week there was a townhall meeting in my office . In that the CEO announced that company revenue jumped 2X and sets the expectations for the current year The hike will be low compared to the last year as the global situation is not doing well. Beauty is he throws out a promise that if company revenue grows 4x from this year then every one in the company will get an additional 10% hike on next year appraisal . I joined this company recently. I don't know what they are up to in future . Is it a good deal???

Hike negotiation

One of my close coworker rather a best friend, recently talked to his manager for promotion. However the hike after promo what manager said was ~25%. However same experience, same team -same experience guy who got promo in last December cycle got fixed around 28-30L. Now he had asked suggestions. He's fixed is coming around 24. He asked me how to get fairly treated. Both are having same experience, same team. However the earlier guy joined at higher fixed. Is there any way to see this as he can't compare himself directly. I am not expecting promotion this year but this seems to be a genuine question to be treated fair. If any such scenario comes to me , I would simply get an offer and leave. However I want to know the correct approach.

Deloitte appraisal season 2024

Hi All, I joined Deloitte in Nov,2023. During my joining i negotiated with the HR regarding the increment of my base pay as it was too less. HR gave me two options, 1. Either take a joining bonus of 50k with the same package, 2. Or be eligible for the next appraisal cycle i.e. april 2024. I wondered if my efforts in the project will be recognised or not by the end of april. So i choose to take the joining bonus with the same package. The HR has left the firm and i am not sure whom to ask and approach regarding the appraisal query. Will i still be ineligible for an appraisal of even 5-10% this year?
