Good MNC/Indian startups worth celebrating?

Might be a good bet to filter out the ones with good culture, and apply there if you want a somewhat safe but growing career. Does anybody know startups here with good culture?

After going through so many posts on grapevine..I feel like all the startups in India are toxic only 😕😕 Really want to know which are the startups worthy of joining? Preferably in product roles

Heard from most people that there’s a lot of crunch. Wondering if anyone at their companies feels like their startup is growing despite the slowdown. Razorpay, CRED, and are seeing tighter regulations and downrounds. The food delivery companies have all gone through their down rounds and readjustment of expectations. Even SaaS most founders have a poor revenue/employee ratio and the india story is still yet to play out for the newer bets. Just yesterday Oslash announced it’s shutting down its app. Any green shoots ☘️? And if there are maybe it’s a good thread for folks to try and hire.

I recently worked at a startup and it was terrible. To be honest, I still worked at one of the better ones but it just sucked. Some of the clear downsides I see - Survival mode leads to chaos. You can be treated anyway and asked to leave whenever even though you left big opportunities to be here - Brand loss to find next job (Big problem) - Trying to make you feel unworthy(Doesn't bother me but I have seen people lose self confidence) - Loss of opportunity to build real skills like building sustainable teams for the long run I think over all working at a startup especially early teams is a losing proposition. Do it only if - - you know the founders/team well - you know the industry and market well and it is a bet you personally believe in - you are secure enough in life that if you go back to your job, you will easily get employed For middle class kids, startups are the worst bets one can take.

Looking to compile a list of a great companies to work for in India for SDEs. The company does not need to have Indian origin. Some of the criteria to pass to be a great company 1. Good WLB 2. Top tier compensation 3. Office culture 4. Career growth and visibility Let me know what your “best” companies are.

It’s not unheard of that most good companies in India are based in BLR or now HYD. But what are some of the few good companies in NCR (Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida)? Considering that they’re an upgrade over my current employer i.e. Blinkit / Zomato. I know there’s FAANG but are the teams based here good? And can you selectively interview for those teams? TIA.

Given the current situations in the market and everyone focusing on cancelling the appraisals or laying off or worst doing silent layoffs. What good options are left for people to join that ensures a good balance of Compensation, Culture and good future outlook. Mention genuine suggestions only and NO rant on your current organisation please. Want to understand market landscape and would be good knowledge to have right now.

What are some of the best product based/product led companies to work for in India? Could include MnCs as well as startups. Mostly the factor would be - how much leverage does product team have
