Unrelated/pseudo-related info: She is really fond of caffeine (Frontend developer rituals). She is like one of those coffee geeks. She has a spam account specially dedicated to various kinds of coffees around the globe. She also has a scrap book about various coffee beans. Kinda absurd (creeped me out initially when I saw it in her bag, she keeps them in those CID waale little specimen zip bags) but its her thing and I value her quirks. I am not really a fan, but I do enjoy cold coffee once in a blue moon when the mood strikes. But for her, I would. Thankfully, she isnt into tea, because I just HATE chai (might trigger a lot of people, but it tastes like cardboard to me for some reason). Every time I get stumbled by coffee aroma around me, it immediately reminds me of her voice. Ok enough about my weaknesses. Now give me solutions.

Living in Bangalore is like participating in a daily obstacle course of stupidity these days. It's like the city is hosting the World Championships of Not Using Common Sense. Day by day, it’s getting crazy in here. People are literally just straight-away stupid. Picture this: I'm in the metro, following the line like some good boii. But no, here come the backline breakers, sprinting ahead like they just got the memo that the free WiFi is about to expire. They won’t even have the patience to let others deboard from the station (bs ghusna hai sbko). On the road: Small Aile is there, and these morons either walk in the middle of the road or walk slowly like they are going to maaiyat. There is no way to even overtake them. One day a couple was literally just standing in the middle of the fucking metro entry gate, and all other people were going from sides. I was literally at my fucking limits; I controlled the urge to ask them that whatever shit they're discussing, if that is a national concern, then it’s okay; otherwise, please fuck around on the side. And what’s up with this throwing garbage on the road thing, literally every morning on the road, tons of food, spillage, and disposals of whatnot can be seen. God, please throw it in the trash.

Time to close all tech parks and ask people to wfh or wherever! Haven’t seen such a bad state since 2015. I read schools are shut. When are they shutting IT parks and ask people to wfh? Hope it happens asap.

I am a middle class guy working as a senior engineer in one of the product companies. I belong from the north-east, and I am the only child in my family. Since covid, I was working in a wfh setup. Recently, my company has ended work from home for everyone, and I am supposed to move to Bangalore very soon or quit. I am an active user on all social media groups on Reddit, Fb, etc. For the past couple of months after seeing so much of negative news about Bangalore, Especially the high population, skyrocketing rents, the auto unions, corruption, cut-throat competition, discriminative news, traffic issues, etc. It makes me nervous to be honest. My wfh here was pretty chill, and I had a very limited social circle here, but was satisfied since I could spend most time with my mom and dad. Im very afraid now about what should I do next, shall I quit the job and search for wfh, or shall I make my move. I don’t have any acquaintances there, no friends, no idea about what I’ll be doing next, how to start house hunting, or job hunting. At this point I am miserable and overwhelmed to think about all of this. Anyone who has gone through all of these, If you can share your 2cents, experiences or thoughts, about how you dealt this phase. It will be really helpful for me at this point in my journey.
