Non tech folks, is the recession and hiring freeze here?

After the exciting 2+ yrs ( including 6 months internship) as a software developer, I have decided to move on to a new opportunity at a company with a strong financial foundation. I'd love to connect with folks working in the Backend Development space, passionate about building high-performance APIs and microservices ( Node.js/MongoDB/MySQL). As we know, the tech industry has seen its share of changes lately, I have been actively exploring the job market for the past 2 months but no luck. So, if you're aware of any exciting opportunities or know of hiring managers, I'd love to hear from you.

I have seen lot of posts about openings lately, are companies back to hiring now or what exactly is the market going on ? People who have recently applied can share their experiences on the market, compensation hike and ghosting by HRs if it is still happening

Do I loose out on senior roles in larger/ ‘branded’ orgs as I gain more experience due not being an MBA from top 10? Current role - PM at Unicorn YoE - 4.5 , Pm ex -2 Education : BTech from tier 3 college Ctc - 41 lpa + esops I haven’t been able to get any short lists from MANGA or other large tech orgs only from startups.

I am seeing a lot of layoff related posts everywhere from news articles to LinkedIn.. Is the Job market really that bad now? Or just the media is projecting that way? If it's really bad, which department you think is the most affected? How's layoffs specifically in India? Or is it layoffs in US but more hiring in India due to cost cutting? Are layoffs in technology/engineering dept as in for developers or some other departments? Your thoughts please..

Hello Folks! I'm a newbie on this platform, yet trying to put my insights as much as possible. Here to ask people out there who work in IT sector about how is the market going so far and when will this recession get down? To the on-campus and off-campus placed students, how did you manage to get placed even during the recession. Although the placements at our college is still on but only for Non-IT branches. I think the only people who are happy about the recession would be Non-IT people who have less competition and are getting placed at the core companies.

2023 graduate here. Had my offer rescinded last month due to bad market conditions. Have applied to multiple places with no luck to even get a single interview since last 40-45 days. So, I would like to know which companies are hiring freshers, for SDE or product roles as of now. How should I approach this situation to land a job?

Hi, I have been working in TCS for the last 7.5 yrs. There hasn't been a good financial growth in all these yrs, so, now I am planning to look for a job change. I have worked on technologies like python, ML, azure cloud, data bricks, azure data factory etc. What's the current scenario for a job change right now? Have hirings been affected somehow adversely by the ongoing news of "recession"? Is it the right time to look for change?
