Hi everyone, I am a frontend developer(3yr+) who wants to switch to backend development. I am looking for some advice from people who have made a similar transition in their career. How was your journey and what was your plan? What do you recommend I should do to become a backend developer? What skills and technologies should I learn? Also, how should I handle the salary and job search aspects? Should I take a salary cut or join at the same salary? 💰 How should I approach HR or put myself on job portals? Please help me. I am feeling confused and unsure about my career path.🙏

Personally for me? Shifting from pandas to polars for data related tasks changed my life. Code remained similar in syntax but the systems became more performant at extracting efficiency out of the same machine. Using connectorx for interfacing with the postgres servers was also a gamechanging moment instead of the OG pd.read_sql_query. Across both of these minor changes, on moderate to large datasets, we achieved a near 10x improvement in querying data + doing operations on them.

From last year I am applying many places for an internship but got no luck getting one. I am not able to clear shortlisting in various place despite having good projects. I made my resume using deedyCV and it look pretty good based on what other people have as their resume who got internships somewhere. I don't know whats the problem in my resume please help.
