In India if the managers even doubt that a person plays street cricket in the evenings on weekends, they will suddenly find all "important work" coming up only on weekends.

Some managers don't understand the concept of "life existing outside work" or "no means no".
If you say you are not available then they would ask you to be available on call to guide the team or ask you to give at least a few hours or ask you to stretch on weekdays since you are unavailable on the weekend.
