Why are tier 1 cities like Delhi and Bangalore more expensive than tier 2 cities?? What kind of facilities/opportunities does tier 1 city people enjoy?? Does tier 1 city people think of moving to tier 2/3 city??

What kind of question is this? It is a demand supply issue, more people want to live in Delhi vs Ludhiana and similarly, Bangalore vs Mangalore. Why demand is more? Better hospitals, better schools, better malls, better networking, better leisure activity, availability of airport nearby and so on Only those people move to Tier-2 from Tier-1, those can continue to earn well in Tier-1 or start facing health issues due to traffic, pollution etc. Else, they continue to live in Tier-1

Background: I have always lived and worked across only Tier 1 cities of the country (was in a Tier 2 city for couple of years) Though I love the ease and standard of living, the costs are insane. Plus all types of pollutants, lesser respect for humans Suggest non Tier 1 cities which offer - house on rent to single women - have electricity back up - Swiggy/Zomato connectivity - decent internet speed

I know a lot of companies are hiring for roles with competitive offers that are in sync with Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Why not stay away from metros given the right opportunities? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Why companies are shifting to tier 2 cities?

Is office shifting to tier 2 cities only beacuse the commercial rents are high in Tier 1 cities or it has some other agenda behind it? Nowadays many people are comfortable to work from there home location. It saves cost. Is this also the reason for companies shifting its focus to tier 2 cities? Any inputs would help!

1 cr has become common price for 2 bhk in metro cities

I am just relating with our parent's era how they could afford to get house and do so much with limited income at that time in 90s. But with our gen I keep seeing these exorbitant prices. Do you think and plan on making investment to buy, I know many folks have very good income here and it might seem not so tough but generally speaking how shd one plan to get these things into place for house, education, etc etc with such rising prices.

New to the city and it makes no sense to me whatsoever. Having lived through all major metros in the country, Bangalore feels like a Tier-2 town covered with Tier-1 wrapping paper.
