The VCs earlier were passionate experts who wanted to support other upcoming teams, while having been through the entire ups and down. The VC folks now are some fancy degree grads, who wants to do a 'job'. And they fill in their near and dear around them, with more job oriented folks 💁🏻‍♂️ And now, they just talk about how much they 'raise' from original sources and show off. Nothing else!

The requirement to follow / invest alongside is unfortunately very high. A lot of folks can’t seem to build their own conviction. If that’s the case, they shouldn’t raise a fund at all and instead give those funds to the VCs that help them build conviction. That would be acting like a real fiduciary.
