Why doesn't Indie Hacking Scale?

I know this will sound like a very biased opinion but just sharing my 2 cents of today’s market. The way with highest probability of success, money and ensuring a better future for your future generations is to startup. It has the highest risk, highest reward. But in today’s landscape: where inflation is always higher than your hike, there’s no guarantee of employment even in next 1 years, the effort to remain in top 1% is humongous and many other reasons like that, really make me feel that if you’re able to start a company and even capture 0.1% of market who’s willing to pay something for your service/product, that’s all you need. Of course the struggle doesn’t end there and you have to keep working for as long as possible? But your capacity to earn and provide for generations to come is much higher than working for someone else. All disagreement is welcome :) Just tired of running this race for years now and still never feeling financially secure.

I'm a marketer with 4 years of experience working with startups, corporates across different industries. One thing I'm realizing is that having a single source of income is just not sustainable anymore. Also, I've been dreaming to go indie hacking or take the solopreneurship route for quite some time now. But the biggest barrier has been the commitments I've got at my job. If any of you have started a side hustle or are planning to start one, how are you balancing it with your day job? What are the challenges you faced/are facing and how have you overcome them? Team is less than 10 people still, slowly growing. Net profit could be higher, that's top priority to work on now. Total cash invested by founders was 15L over 3-4 years. Yearly revenue : 2019 - less than 30k 20 - 1.5L (after pivot) 22 - 50L Getting to the first lakh and then to 10 lakhs was probably the most challenging part. We thought of shutting down multiple times, struggled through multiple fights between founders. Glad we didn't stop working and pulled through. This is my 4th or 5th attempt at starting up. Except for 1, other attempts didn't even get to incorporation stage. Would love to hear from other bootstrappers and their experience.

Can indie developers make it in comparison to their day job counterparts?

Hi all smart folks out there, I have been wondering for so long as to why did Indmoney's growth stagnate? They were the first one to launch a comprehensive financial tool and had a freemium model for Advisory. What all have been the reasons? And if you used to be a user of the app, what made you stop using it?

Acquiring funding for a startup in india has become a hassle. I myself have been doing research on seed funding Vc's and angel investors. All they ask is pitch deck and LinkedIn profile. Which they don't even go through and just reply with an email saying we are not eligible for funding. On the other side US and other countries are getting funding at the ideation stage. I guess we can't even go for crowdfunding. Started building MVP, but halfway through the hurdle and unable to resume the development due to limited resources.

I am working full time but the itch of starting up doesn't go away. Please motivate me or suggest small wins to be on the path of starting. I have the product / Target audience in mind.
