Need advice

Hi guys, looking forward to some advice. I'm working as a Frontend developer for the past 2 yrs, tech stack is React, Javascript. I'm feeling that I'm bored with the work and not learning much now, just building components and calling new APIs. So I thought I should try backend development. The backend tech stack in my team is Java, Spring boot. I have knowledge of core Java. If I continue with the current role, I might get a promotion next yr but if I change I will not get. Also I eventually want to go to a MNC, where I see generally hiring is for backend roles where system design and DB is asked. Frontend specific hiring I mostly find in startup and mid sized companies, which I want to avoid. Another option is to switch to a different company like Microsoft, etc where they look for a general software engineer, for which I will need to study system design and DB. I'm fairly good at DSA, so not much of an issue here. What should I do?

I joined industry as a front-end engineer back in April, 2022 and now i am feeling like expanding my horizon of skills and start doing backend. Also, I am hearing it from people that there is not much growth in FE in terms of compensation. So, curious to know the views of people here and would be great if someone can guide through. Just landed a mid-level full-stack job in Bangalore through an agency that brings foreign companies here. But, plot twist - my CTO, who's abroad, axed the senior frontend devs and now wants me to handle some complex frontend stuff. To be honest, frontend isn't really my forte, and these overseas senior devs are super into code quality and reusability, not just churning out features. Feeling a bit in over my head and could really use some tips on how to up my frontend game, especially to meet those high standards. Any advice or resources would be awesome!

When I saw Twitter and LinkedIn most of people titles shows fullstack developer and here I am afraid of calling my self a frontend enginner, because there is so much to learn in each domain itself. Currently, I am working as a Frontend Developer in my current company and each day I am learning something new in Frontend. My question is that, should I continue exploring Frontend in my initial years and gradually explore other domains like backend or devops. Because, I stunned by looking at the Job description of the companies that are hiring even for entry level jobs. I wanted to your thoughts on this, What you do in your company and how you all improve the domain you are working on. You can also share any useful resources too. Thanks

Hello everyone, Currently working as a single frontend developer in an startup. Joined just after graduation. I want to grow in carrier, and want to learn more about frontend. But I feel lost, not sure what all things I need to learn to become more good, SDE-2 level. Also I am looking for a switch. YOE - 2

After working for 2 years as a Frontend dev fresh out of college, I was looking to prep for a change now. A lot of what I searched about frontend interviews involved JS/HTML/CSS and some framework-specific fundamentals which makes sense. However, I've also seen a lot about people brushing up on algorithms, practising leetcode which I found painful since it rarely pops up in actual work, if at all. Any idea on what I should focus on? Or any help when navigating the interview process?

Hey grapevine folks, I want to switch to a product based company with good payscale, but finding it hard to even get one interview call. Also, is it even fine to switch right now as per market conditions? I work at a good MNC with 10 billion dollar + revenue, but I joined here as a fresher so I get paid less. I am into front-end development, specialising in Angular with 2yoe. Any leads would help greatly.

Hey everyone, Currently I’m facing tough time in my company. Planning to leave within a month. I want to switch and have 1.8 YOE. This will be my first switch , so I wanted to know if anyone have given interviews for frontend developer(angular). What level of questions does companies ask. How much DSA would be required and how much knowledge of angular they test. Your interview experience would be a great help as can provide me a plan for preparation to crack interview in a month. Please do let me know.

Currently I am doing an SLI in the frontend team ( React ) at a good company, So for the full time roles after college should I stay in frontend or look for backend opportunities ? What is better for the future ? P.S. I have worked on full stack projects in the college and enjoy both frontend and backend equally.
