Career growth trajectory

As a fresher in an IT company working as a backend developer, I am really confused with how to proceed ahead for growth in my career. I have two options : 1.Learn Frontend and be Full stack dev 2. Move to devops I need advice which would be more feasible and why. Keeping interests aside as of now since I would be new to both domains. Any new ideas or domains are also welcomed!

I have 1.5 YoE as a frontend developer in an early stage startup. I need help with deciding where do I go from here? Do I deep dive into frontend? Do I try to move to full stack? Things to consider: - I am from a non CS background - frontend in India seems to be a bit saturated, especially for entry/mid level roles. I'd appreciate your advice, thanks :)

I am a React.js Developer & have 2 YOE (6 months at a consultancy startup + 1.5 years in a service based MNC). I do not like working with React.js for multiple reasons & do not wish to pursue working with this further. I want to know what are some alternative career paths or technologies that are as much in demand & feasible to switch towards? Ideally, towards a more stable, battle-tested technology or tech stack and something that is as well paying too. (..continued from my original post) Some technologies that I considering are JAVA , ASP.NET & Laravel as unlike React.js, they are not loosely opinionated and don't have a constantly changing API where the way of writing code itself changes (e.g - redux and/or using data fetching libraries) . There is no standardised best practice to conform to. But, the problem is that I find Laravel jobs are not in use in corporates or large tech companies but apparently ASP.net core jobs are not as well paying for equivalent years of experience as that of a front-end React.js developer. TC - 8.6 LPA (2 YOE)

Have almost 2 yoe as swe Backend. I have worked only in Java and nothing else. The work is related to data engineering cum backend. Worried about future on how to switch etc. Should go towards backend path or data engineering path. How to upskill and move ahead?? Ps: have acquired some knowledge of django, springboot, gcp etc. what else I should know??

Hey folks, I am a senior software engineer at Swiggy working in as a mobile engineer for the past 5 years. I have worked on few backend & infra stack in past companies (node js, go-lang, kubernetes, s3, etc) just for exploring and expanding my horizon. I am thinking of seriously perusing this now. What are my options here? I am open to learning via online course / my own side projects. Also how to approach for hiring given it won’t be my expertise but I am willing to be hired at a lower package for the long term benefits. Reason to consider a transition is boredom with working in a single domain.

I have 3.5 yrs of exp as backend dev have 1.5 yrs exp in spring boot. in my current org not getting challenging dev related task getting only bug fixes, what should be my action plan to switch to top prod based companies as backend dev seeing to much demand for nodejs backend dev.

Can i switch my career from frontend to backend as I am having 3.5 years of experience in react. If I can, than how, as whenever I try to do so i am not shortlisted for backend role. Also in my company it's difficult to switch as they are not allowing to do so ? Thanks in advance 😃😃

Currently I am doing an SLI in the frontend team ( React ) at a good company, So for the full time roles after college should I stay in frontend or look for backend opportunities ? What is better for the future ? P.S. I have worked on full stack projects in the college and enjoy both frontend and backend equally.

Hey Devs, I’m currently working on low-code tools and earning 27L/year with 6 years of experience. I’d like to switch to development because I don’t want to stick with low-code tools. Started learning JS, React, NodeJS and other tools such as Docker, K8s and NoSQL stuff as addon. Is it a right path or do I need to start with something else? I have also started building small AI stuff with help of HiggingFace and LangChain. This is just to stay upto date with current trends.
