media.net (DirectI group) has postponed the joining of product managers hired from campus placements of top BSchools of India, IIM ABCL ISB XLRI etc. No specific timeline has been provided, HR said “joining is postponed”, that’s it. Insider news is that layoffs are happening at media.net and employees haven’t been given any appraisals this year. Media.Net postponed joining dates for freshers from july 2024 to jaunuary 2025.

I am a 2024 graduate and I got an oncampus placement in media.net in December 2023 and initially my date of joining was july 2024. A month ago I got call from there HR that my joining date is postponed to August 2024. Now today , they call us and inform that the date of joining is further postponed to 6th Jaunuary 2025 . What are we supposed to do in this scenario? If anyone has any openings please let me know.

I read on mba social's insta handle that media. net has hired bouncers who would escort the employees and make sure they can't go to desk to take back their stuffs! Is it true or just exaggerated??

Major advertising revenue comes from North America, and a recession there means huge advertising spend cuts by big accounts, which directly impacts many adtech companies. From what I hear from a friend who is aware of the leadership discussions, MPL might be looking to lay off close to 50% of its workforce and shut down most of its other BU’s to consolidate by October.
