Never ask questions. Start the conversation and share any of the experience you have in your life that seems relatable or have a good memory.. this way the conversations won't be boring. Since its not an interview, its sort of a story telling.

I'd say, don't try hard. You both are trying to have a good time, get to know each other and have some fun. Try to do activities together and find things in common to talk about.

Just try to find a common topic on which u can drive the conversation For instance me and my date recently switched our jobs coincidentally,so we started talking about it I get it that u are a noob but we all start somewhere so just Be genuine lol
