read books? and build projects you'll learn which data structure to use where while optimizing the program.
technically, you learn a whole lot of system design just by learning C and debugging, looking at debugger asm code, stacks, registers, etc
or write a bootloader, basic OS to learn system design.
you could write a rudementary DOS.
It is SE3 not SDE3 which is equivalent to sde2. So, expectations will be like sde2
