How often do your jeans last?

It is such a cringe question but one of my colleagues commented that my jeans look old and I should throw them out. I bought them 7 years ago from Levi's and wear them almost everyday. Ofcourse, they are faded from the navy blue that they were to a more whitish blue and it is quite worn out. I thought it added to the appeal. I mean I can throw them out right now( they only cost me 2.5k back then) but I wonder what is the lifecycle of jeans for most people here.

I never throw out my jeans. I mostly travel in track pant. My jeans are new as fuck. After covid stopped going to office and stopped wearing them. So my jeans life will be forever until they will be unfit for me.

Yea only wear them occasionally so they look brand new even after years. Wearing jeans everyday seems uncomfortable to me.

I have a True Religion one that I got in 2005. Massively used and no damage done except a natural colour fade. Miracle - it still fits me and is used to the day.

I washed and ironed my jeans like an idiot and they always shrunk. Only recently I got to know we’re not supposed to wash jeans regularly :(

If its Levis 501, you have done justice to the jeans. I discard only if its torn or unfit (waist size) 🥲

It’s Levi’s 511. It’s torn from some places showing white thread but very superficial. Can’t see any skin.

Samething we were discussig yesterday, I purchased few clothes on my first year in univ, still waering them after 7 years. Quality is good, fabric is good as well. I take proper care of them. I’ve this habbit of folding the clothes, and keep them intact after my day. When they’re tight, I’ll donate them. Sometime people comes to take them. Some clothes I just dont wear at all, once or twice, donate them as well.

I still have jeans and t-shirts from my teenage and I'm 30+ now. I wear pyjamas mostly, jeans only when going out to meet people or semi formal occasion. I don't throw stuff unless it's torn and unusable.

Colour fading of clothes

My all t shirts of good brands fades in colour after multiple wash and looks very bad from original colour. Is there any brand whose colour don't fade. Say even after 20-30 wash. Ya Aisa kapda hi nhi Bana Abhi tak.

How do you justify expensive purchases to yourself?

I have been pursuing some aspirational products like Apple Watch SE, Airpods Pro 2, PS5 etc. since a long time. I go to the Amazon page and add it to cart but then my conscience questions me as to is it worth spending so much on it? I earn decently and live in BLR but still I dont fully understand to give my mind a valid reason for purchasing a 40k Watch that shows time, some metrics and some automation. Also 20k for listening music, 50k for playing games. It feels as if is it sane to spend much on these personal material stuff? How do you folks look at this while making purchases?
