Macbook or Thinkpad for work?

Would he joining a new office, client is very fast paced. I have till now worked on windows system only. They are providing either Linux or Mac. I will need to get myself accustomed to these new systems and then work. Which one shall I choose. Tech stack :- Nodejs, Express, Cloud aws, docker, Redis etc. I don't want that my performance get hampered wither coz of not knowing the system or taking too much time to learn it. Folks, Please suggest me which one to choose.

A Junior SWE here I want to buy a personal work laptop and can afford a laptop upto 1.5L Given that I would be working on personal projects on this laptip, should I go ahead only with MacBook? Or any other? Please suggest Also I am getting MacBook Air M1 13inch with 8 gb ram for 70k, since Ram is expandable upto 70k, should I go ahead with it?

I'm confused between buying a MacBook Air M2 13", MacBook Pro M1, Macbook Air M2 15" (which just launched a few hours ago) or simply HP Pavilion, Lenovo ThinkPad, Asus Vivobook kind of 70K ish windows laptops. I know Macbooks deliver way better battery and screen. But I'm wondering if it is worth investing 1.5L? I would appreciate your opinion.

Dell xps 13inch or macbook pro 14 inch or macbook pro 16 inch.

Please provide the exact model if possible along with the price you bought it for. Looking to buy a new laptop without spending a fortune.

In the last 15 years I have only used the laptop issued by the organizations I worked with (MacBook all through). Given a lot of scrutiny and snooping by employers on devices issued by them (they have all the right to do so, not questioning that), I’m planning to purchase one for my personal use. I’m out of touch with the gadget news, so looking for some suggestions on which one to go for - MacBook, Surface, Chromebook. I don’t use any OS specific apps - all the work I do is on cloud apps. Looking for something that I can use for next 7 years at least, without any worry about performance degradation.
