FINALLY Rained, but …

New to the city and it makes no sense to me whatsoever. Having lived through all major metros in the country, Bangalore feels like a Tier-2 town covered with Tier-1 wrapping paper.

I was at a friends place and it suddenly started raining heavily. I had to reach my girlfriends place ASAP. She was already very angry that I was not spending enough time with her. The problem was that I was not getting any auto on Uber or Rapido. I stopped an auto and asked it for a ride. He quoted Rs 800 for a 4km ride. I was like, "Are you crazy?" I somehow negotiated it down to Rs. 500. But it made me wonder why is this city like this. Like everyone is trying to scam you. Every one is a grifter, from your landlord to auto wallahs to the cops. Have you faced such things in this city?

I recently got an offer and am planning to move to Gurgaon. I was trying to find an opportunity in Bangalore because I love this place, or maybe it’s just change I detest. But nothing worked out and here I am. Has anyone made the same move? Or maybe vice versa? Which place do you think is better and why?

BLR's rain pattern is so interesting, Instead of rains happening just 4 months in a year in plenty, it is spread across the year with December/January/February being the dry months it seems. But compared to these rainfall numbers, Mumbai and goa get like 40MM plus rainfall in just one month (July)
