All Amazon engineers are happy with the work they do or they too feel dissatisfied with work or tech stack apart from work load?

I can't seem to relate to much of the non-FAANG junta out there. I mean I have a cushy job with probably 0.1% pay of all SWEs(pretty much like all of us do). But these cookie-cutter roles have been taking a mental toll on me. Like I am getting paid but I feel a little purpose-less. What am I gunning for in this life? All my life I wanted to go to a good college to get into a good company. In college I wanted to get a good codeforces rank so that I could get into FAANG. Now that I am in FAANG I have nothing to look forward to. Any of you all feeling this way? Because I don't see myself offer-shopping and feeling much happy about that either.

People in tech are in over their heads. There’s been an unsustainable inflation in salaries and somehow 20 somethings have actually started believing their skills are worth what they’re making I speak to so many engineers who just with two years of experience are making 30-40 LPA packages. They actually believe they are better than people in say banking who make the same salary after 15 years of grinding it out. It’s all supply-demand. Supply will soon catch up to the demand. Salary normalization will happen. Your salaries may not grow for years if you don’t personally grow as well in skill set and become more valuable overall. At the least, don’t have an attitude about how much you make. Stay humble. Enjoy the good times while they are still here

I've heard from multiple connections that the work culture (for software engineers) in Amazon India is very demanding, with almost no work-life balance. Is that true? is it the same even in Amazon offices outside India? Or do they fair better because of the social structure there which inherently advocates for work-life balance?

There are so many Amazon leaders and PMs recently joined swiggy . Wanted to know how are they performing n overall how are they to work with .

Relatively new to tech - only 2 years of experience here so far. Yet find it extremely cyclical. Face the same challenges over and over again. Perhaps the setting changes occasionally but that’s really it. I understand this is not unique to tech and happens everywhere. But at least in product management, it seems like it’s research - design - dev with stakeholder management over and over and over again. Feel like I’m on autopilot mode and not truly *enjoying* working. I used to be so full of energy and enthusiasm in college and school, eager to learn. But the cyclical nature of work has wrung it out of me, and I’ve sort of become a cynic lol. Who enjoys their work?

Got to know from my skip manager that there will be another round of layoffs starting Monday.

Hi Guys, I got a decent offer from Amazon this week. When i am searching on multiple review sites like Glassdoor etc, about working culture at Amazon, i am hardly getting any positive reviews? Can somebody pls share insights so that i can take switching decisions accordingly?

I am a fresher currently working at Texas Instruments as a software developer and I have deferred offer from Amazon. Should i consider joining Amazon considering that I have almost same compensation at this time. What will be your take on this considering the competitive market? For now work life balance is good at Texas instruments. What's the future scope comparing both texas instruments and amazon?
