Alternative Creative Outlets
I’ve noticed that many designers tend to have an inclination towards some or the other art form - often sketching/painting, but can include music, dance and acting too. It’s been observed that practicing different art forms can actually help to feed creativity into each other. The explorations from one can serve as inspiration for another. Speaking for myself, I play guitar and sing. And I’ve found it to be a nice way to just unwind - though have not felt much of it feed into my professional work. Would love to hear from others here, if you have an art form that you tap into for work inspiration or otherwise. :)

Btw, if you don’t mind the extra screen time, consider trying out voxel art.
It’s a block-based digital art style, and can result in some really amazing artworks.
Had seen this open-source software called Magicavoxel for the same.

Been dancing on and off since school, but just started learning Kathak professionally (7 months in).
Not sure how design * kathak or dance in general could work out, but i did try depicting contemporary dance using metal wire in one of my product design college assignments. Was fun!

Dance is a great medium to study form and motion, come to think of it.
Believe it or not, I was forced to learn some Kathak as a part of my primary school. Wasn’t too bad tho. 😅
