What’s the realistic timeline to achieve 50-75 LPA in Bangalore? Currently on 28 LPA. If followed career progression of my seniors, it will take at least 7 more years in the same company to hit ~75LPA. Need guidance from folks who are making these figures. I believe this will help anyone and everyone who is in this path in life? Note: I’m extremely grateful for all the opportunities and my current life through help from mentors and hard work. Anyone who is interested in moving to this role, please feel free to DM. I will share my experience.

You told everything except your work experience. Which company do you work for etc. But anyways if you are looking into these numbers as a base salary. It might take a while as market has corrected well enough. A good company or a well funded startup can pay this for the work ex between 6-10 years. *its my opinion, audience can validate this.

I’m at my 5 year experience mark in a good company. I’m not looking for base or fixed, but total compensation of 75LPA. 10 year experience mark looks reasonable. Definitely wanted to know which companies have this kind of figures in this experience. Planning to move accordingly to set my career path. Note: Not being greedy here but just trying to optimise for more money. Employers take advantage of us why not us take advantage from our end?

Start a business. You'll earn much more than 75 LPA in the next 7 years if you stick to one thing (obviously after finding what's right for you)

So firstly, 50 plus is totally possible in the 2-3 years time frame given your current experience. This translates to around 20% hike yoy (considering a 3 year time frame), so roughly lets say a 10% appraisal and one switch around 45% hike is what you should target. Identify where the gaps are (in terms of upskilling) and prepare for your next switch soon :).

What should my strategy be if I want to 4x my current salary (let's say go from 7LPA to approx 30LPA) in the next 4-5 years? Is this a realistic expectation to have moving forward? With regards to my work ex; I started off my career with sales, worked for 7 months, left the job, upskilled myself a little bit and landed a product manager role. So in total I have about a year of experience (7 months in sales and rest out it as a pm). Also I have a engineerring background and have also completed my MBA, both of them from tier 2 colleges.

Will an MBA destroy your life or make it better?

Overview: Everyone around me, be it old school friends to the people in the bangalore startup ecosystem are planning to or already in the process of doing an MBA. What is happening: Most of the people I know, either are going for a tier 1 MBA in India or colleges like “Carnegie Mellon”/ “INSEAD”/ “NUS” these are really good places. Why am I concerned: I dont have great acade, GEM candidate so I have decided to not pursue CAT at all, and MBA outside India is too expensive. I feel like my job and career are going fine with 4 years of professional experience I am making 25LPA in marketing. I am not keen on doing an MBA but I dont want to regret later. I consider myself to be fairly smart but what happens when I am competing with people who have great brand names on their resume and are actually smart. People on GV with more experience, have you gone through this struggle? Sidenote: I also have friends who have cleared IIM ABC, ISB and not gone, because they just wanted the admit letter. Which is brave lol!

So, I am 25 and working for a company based out of Noida (the category and business is not at all interesting) but they are profitable (handsomely) I am earning in the bracket of 30-36LPA currently. I have received an offer of a bracket between 50-55LPA from a bangalore based company which has just achieved profitability. (The category is exciting and bangalore being bangalore is exciting as well) IF SOMEONE CAN SHARE THEIR PERSEPCTIVE ON THIS? What should I do?

Hi all , I am a fresher and recently I have been seeing alot of reviews of people in consulting claiming to have CTC of 20-33LPA . Wanted to know what is the differenciation factor and how can one reach at that stage of pay scale . Because as of now as per my knowledge analyst is paid 6LPA and any consultant is paid 15 LPA or so in any Big 4.

How much salary should I consider while negotiating with HR for my next Salesforce Developer job?

I have 4.5 years of experience. 5 Salesforce certifications. I have good knowledge of communities, proficient in Apex, LWC, Flow, Security. Current CTC is 13 LPA (2 variable + 11 fixed). This was offered to be 2.5 years back. Have not got any promotions or major increments although I think I deserved them. According to my previous poll post votes I came to know that the salary should be more than 25 LPA. I am trying to know how high I can expect?
