Edtech layoffs still continuing? Teams were asked to strictly work from home for today because of plumbing work going on in the office. Roughly 300 people were laid off in a townhall hosted by the founders.

One of the director in Business team was fired by COO Vivek Sinha just because she took planned leaves and approved planned leaves of her team members. COO fired her over phone call . Unacademy used to such a great place up until February 2022 now it has become place filled with toxicity and CEO Gaurav seems to unaware of what's happening around him and is busy boasting how much money Unacademy has in bank. Unacademy will be laying off 30% of its workforce this week. The list of people who will be laid off has been finalised and received signoff from Gaurav & Roman. Sad State of Affairs.

30% of engineers will be gone. 50% of higher managenment will be gone. List contains a total of 80 devs/managers/directors/Vp/CTO from Tech team, reducing the Tech Team size to merely 130. How does byjus justify their valuation, when there is no value ?

Unacademy to slash 25% of the workforce in another round of layoffs scheduled for the first week of January. The affected employees will not be paid severance pay because the company is struggling badly with the cash. 2024 is setting a sad start for the Edtech ecosystem .
