Are companies not hiring freshers or am I not skilled enough?

I am a senior software engineer with 6 + yoe mainly into backend (java and golang tech stack). I am currently serving my notice period with no offer in hand.(my last day is April 30) I have applied and given interviews to almost 12 companies and failed after clearing 2 or 3 rounds. I feel that I am losing confidence in my skills when I face such rejection even though I shouldn't. I feel like whatever answer I give during interviews is wrong and I constantly try to lookup the internet in the middle of interviews in fear of getting rejected. Even though I know things very well I try to validate it and then mug up whatever is written on the internet and whenever a new question is asked which I haven't seen earlier where I would be required to think , i blank out. This has never happened to me earlier.. I need some advice on how do I keep confidence in my skill and start solving things on my own.

So basically like every time I see a job vacancy I do apply for it.. But I'm not sure why I never get any calls back Or mails and these days I only see vacancies where they want only experienced people like more than 5 or 10.. I mean...where am I going wrong in this job hunt... I'm having 2 yrs of exp where I have wasted 1 yr being in bench so I could say I didn't get a lot of insight for my yrs of exp.... It sucks tho.... 😢 where should I start now what should I do? Completely blank...

I work in a startup. We're currently on an ongoing pivot. I started working here as a founding engineer. I have worked here for around 2 years now. Majorly i worked on frontend part with react native (which is totally a new thing for me when i joined). During my tenure here there was no senior engineer who could review my work and give me the skills i required to build my career. Our founder was happy if the app was working fine. During the initial phase we needed to launch the app as soon as possible so i quickly learned the basic things i needed to make an app with react native. In this time all of these things (js and web world) are very new to me as i was coming from developing native android apps with java. Now im trying to switch so that i can work with a team of experienced engineers. While attempting interviews for frontend engineer, I found that whatever I've done in my current job was nothing more than a college project and I really didn't got to learn any industry level stuff. I'm feeling like im still a fresher out of college.  I tried working on my frontend skills but as we all know it's a very huge field. Html, css, js, frontend frameworks, hell lot of libraries. I'm feeling so overwhelmed. Whenever i attend a new interview i get to know new concepts which i never knew exist. Any suggestions for me guys?

I am a frontend developer with 1.4 years of experience. I worked in a YC-backed startup where I led their product. I have given interviews at Simpl Pay, PhonePe and many small and mid-sized startups. For Simpl Pay and PhonePe, I failed the interviews and was disappointed in myself. In small and mid-sized startups there I answered 95% of their questions perfectly, yet I was still rejected. I have given 9 interviews to date and have been rejected in each of them. I would say 60% of them were interviews where I answered every question correctly and felt I should have been hired while 40% were ones where I failed to answer some questions and deserved the rejection. It has been 6-7 months that I am unemployed, learning React Native and TypeScript and going deeper into frontend technologies. I am not able to understand if this is only happening to me or if it is common in the current market. Any guidance or advice that could help me get a job quickly would be greatly appreciated. I feel well-prepared for interviews but any additional insights you have might be beneficial.

I see jobs being there, but even the entry level jobs are requiring experience. I saw a associate level job posting on linkedin for a startup asking for 4-6 years experience. This is in line with the recent article at The KEN. Are people really ready to work for low salary for high skills? What does this mean for the freshers, job switchers/career switchers? Are we all doomed for now? What's your take on the market?

Hi Grapeviners, I have ten years of work ex in performance marketing and CRM. I started job search actively from Feb 15 this year and landed first interview today. How bad is the market out there. I usually get hired with in 30 job applications, also I apply to the role only if 70% and above role match with my previous experience also use referrals when available. Hi all, can anyone please tell me how to find jobs in the software industry. I am currently looking for a job for about 1 month and have applied to 100+ jobs still not receiving anything. Received one call from a company and cracked the interviews, too. HR told me that I was selected after that ghosted me. It's becoming really hard seeing people getting jobs, and here I am not getting a single interview call. I am also Knight in Leetcode and have around 1.9 years of experience. Dont know where I am going wrong. I'm going into depression these days. Any help would be really appreciated 🙏.

Fresher with good and relevant internship experience, I'm getting rejected for some job roles where I am overqualified(not being cocky) For job roles, I'm excited about there's work ex needed but one seems to be giving me the job, how will I get work ex? I have sent LinkedIn DMs, cold emails and what not but still nothing. I am getting rejected or worst no revert. I have worked and want to work in the marketing&brand side preferably learn from senior folks in the industry but seems impossible in this market.

I’m an Entry Level engineer having 1.7 years of experience in a WITCH company, mostly working on Spring, AWS, Core Java backend stack. I’m looking to switch to a better company for my growth as I don’t find any opportunities here and the learning has been very slow. I’m currently learning frontend (Angular) and K8s. Have tried giving my resumé to multiple companies everywhere but no luck. Is it very hard for someone having backend experience of 1.7 years to switch?

I graduated from college about 3 months back and have been applying, cold emailing and doing everything but things aren't moving- either there are too many applicants, budget is not right or the role is shit. I have good internship experience with established cos. but still unable to land at a good place where I can grow and learn. What shall I do? Do you know if someone's hiring? I have also been thinking about doing masters but not so keen.
