Are frontend devs not eligible to apply for SDE roles?

I am working as a front-end developer in a startup for 2+ years and i want to switch to a different company.

The problem is I have only worked on the frontend in my current job though my designation is SDE in my offer letter. I don't have much knowledge about backend either. While applying for jobs the JD says i should have work experience in backend tech so in this case should I apply to those jobs or not. There are very few job openings for frontend and everyone is asking for full stack.

Will my interviewer asks questions for backend also though I have not worked on it? Or should I only focus on DSA.I have a good knowledge on frontend.

Should I just focus on frontend and DSA for my interviews? I am planning to Target FAANGM and good product start-ups

Only DSA is enough? The startups that I got interviewed didn't asked any DSA they only focused on frontend part.

In faangm they only ask DSA and system design?

No, it’s unfortunate

Since it’s still early in ur career, just for the interview u can go over backend concepts. U can mention that u r full stack with focus on frontend.

Yeah it makes sense to study backend concepts and apply for full stack. But in job description they are asking for work experience in backend so I am not so sure what should be done to that.

For now I am studying DSA and going through some backend concepts.
