Big waste of time. Only invest in all of this if there is 20% bandwidth outside other design work. Your designs will work with or without a design system.
For larger teams, these things become important.
That's true. You don't have to learn all the latest stuff to keep your job. Also, blindly creating designs system doesn't make sense if your scope/no. of designers working on the product is limited. People need to understand why and when do you actually need a design system and it is helpful in scenarios where you need it.
