Are we living in a Simulation?
So I had an interesting epiphany recently. I have been pondering upon the possibility of UFOs and Aliens, and questions like Are we alone? One thought crossed my mind was what if Alien life is not in the same dimension as we live in? Like we observe the world in a 3d dimension of space and 1d dimension of time, but we have other creatures like Bacteria and viruses who see the world differently than we do. From there perspective the world is likely 2d space. I wondered if alien life exists in 4d or higher dimensions and they observe us as we observe bacteria. Now the possibility the the entire universe is a Simulation is not new for Science. Scientist estimate that there is 20 percent possibility that we live in a Simulation.
Now I started wondering what would be the consequences of living in a world with higher dimensions let's say a 4d world. How would forces of nature and physics work there. Well I did some research on the internet and found quite few shocking results. Like Gravity would be very Weak, magnesium will be noble gas, tying a knot would be impossible. A higher dimensional being could meddle with our organs like we can draw dots inside a circle without ever crossing circumference. A higher dimensional being could easily interfere with our world. He can see through our world, he can easily cover huge distance almost instantly.
Now I thought sounds familiar 🤔. Our mythology is filled with such episodes. Devas can fly as if gravity doesn't impacts them, It was difficult for Yashoda to tie Krishna with a rope knot. Basically god's can appear instantly anywhere in the universe. There's also a verse in Mahabharat where Shantanu asks Devdut how was his time in the Devlok, to which he replied that God's see the human world differently, and human would to them is like a game of Chausar. (Like a video game or simulation). Also, Hindu religion ofter describes Sansar as Maya or manifestation by God. Nothing is real. Ngl, Goosebumps
I have another interesting scenario
According to the theory of time travel, if a person travels to the past or future and alters events, there are two possible outcomes:
- The entire timeline could change, affecting all events that ever occurred.
- A new timeline might be created, with the altered events, while the original timeline remains unchanged. Let's focus on the first possibility. Imagine that someone has invented a time machine, and due to some mistakes, it has fallen into the hands of hundreds of people. Consider one person who alters the timeline according to their desires. This change affects the past and present for everyone. Another individual with the time machine also alters the timeline to their liking. This results in a cascade of changes for everyone. Now, let's imagine a third person doing the same, and this sequence continues. In this scenario, what happens to the billions of ordinary individuals who exist in this timeline? Are they essentially trapped in a constantly shifting reality? Think about it this way: You were working in "Cred," but due to timeline changes, you find yourself in "Byju's." And who knows, in just five minutes, you might cease to exist altogether.
If this is true then what the hell are we doing on Grapevine??
Can't travel back because of grandfather paradox. Can't go forward because that breaks the speed of the light barrier.
If the grandfather paradox is a real phenomenon, why would I even want to meet my grandfather?
Upanishads also describe the entire videogame-like "Wasted-Respawn" cycle and mechanism im great detail (in a nutshell, Aatman -> Brahman -> back to Aatman).
For me, there are other aspects of science that are mind boggling and feel like a simulation - wave-particle duality (electrons become particles on observation), quantum tunnelling etc.
I'm a tell my mum I'm studying ancient hindu texts next time I play GTA V.
Good read. Hope any part of this I can see in my reality but until then gotta survive in this vessel of a body
