Authentic Influencers?
How can I make sure that the influencer that I'm following and consuming content of, is an expert on the topic that he's knowledge sharing on? Are there platforms for this? Asking coz the number based metrics like follower count, likes, comments etc. can be manipulated easily and now in this AI age, even content can be. Where's the trust and authenticity? The messaging, effort, influence and impact are the metrics I feel should drive an influencer’s social capital. Any views on this?
Influencers often start with pure ambitions but often end up being a puppet of companies that pay them money. Although we may use them as a source to gain new information, their suggestions would usually be heavily biased
Do your own research and never believe anything you read or see on social media.
Especially in this new age of AI. Images, voice, even videos can be faked.

Any platform that isn't conversational is hard to trust imho. Peer validation by the community is hard to beat. Reddit is probably the best but even there, people can hide their identities behind pseudonyms so threads need to be taken with a grain of salt.
