Bangalore rents 🤯

Understanding what is the going rent for a 2BHK in Bangalore close to ORR. Used to work from home happily. But office folks decided to make it hybrid last year and I moved to Bangalore with my wife. Rented a 2BHK flat near Marathahalli for 30k (Rent+Maintanence). Now that the 11 month contract is over, the owner is asking for 36K even though the rental agreement says 5% increase an year. What are you guys paying as rent? And is it common in Bangalore to increase rents by 20% year or year which seems really crazy.

Recently our Owner asked us to vacate after 3 years of staying here in Koramangala, a 4 BHk home. Mostly be renegotiating with him. Meanwhile in our search for possible other options, we have found that most of the residential properties are being inflated randomly by the owners recently, the reason being, we all know the influx into Bangalore & I have had a call with few properties - 1.3 Lakhs quotes for unfurnished 4 BHK home in HSR Sector 1 - 1.5 Lakhs quoted for Unfornished 5 BHK in HSR sector 3 Too much firing in place, AI advent, Funding slowdown in Startups Things are going super greedy with owners here in Bangalore. Thoughts on how to overcome this situation ?

I have took a 1Bhk house for Rs.13500/month in 2021 Dec. In the agreement it was mentioned that rent will be increased by 5% every year. But after 11 months he has increased it by almost 50% and made it to 19k. Again after 11 months now he is increasing by another 15% and making it to 21500 or else asking me to vacate house. He is not following terms and conditions mentioned in the house agreement, we can't trust him that he may increase rent abruptly after another 11 months. What should I do?

In and around Whitefield rents have increased more than 10k compared to last year. It's very difficult to find a good house in budget near to office and near to kid school. Salaries are not increased but cost of living is touching the sky. Is it same overall Bangalore?

People in Bengaluru are ready to pay 75k for a 3bhk, 50k for a 2bhk in famous builder societies. Rents for apartments which were 35k before 2021 are demanding 55k onwards nowadays. Why are people tolerating this shit ? Why are people still opting to stay in so called societies? Gyms hardly 5 PC people use Swimming pools are used occasionally Sports facilities are also not very commonly used. Why are people paying such large premiums for amenities they don't really use ?

People laughed at me when I asked for decent living spaces below 10k at these locations. It took 2 days, i went for a walk in the streets of Koramangala and HSR layout. And found multiple 1rk's less than 8k and multiple 1bhk's less than 12k. There are a lot of furnished 1bhk apartments with rent ranging from 15k to 18k. To all the people who are new to Bangalore, don't fall prey for hefty rents, do roam in and around the surroundings.. you will find good places within the budget. Surprisingly there are plenty of vacant spaces and soon the prices will come down.

Hi guys, My friend and I are shifting to a 3BHK in DNR Springleaf, Koramangala. It’s a beautiful society with gym and swimming pool, as well as in a very prime area (right next to Prestige Pinewood). The total rent is 1L, and we are looking for a flatmate to take the room with an unattached but personal washroom. Do let me know if anyone’s interested or the best place to find someone.

Came to Bangalore to join an in-office role, the org and role is good. But coming from Gurgaon, I was not able to like the city. Some cons: - Extremely poor infrastructure like a tier 2 city - Every govt official is corrupt, police can harass you anywhere - You neither feel homely nor is there any vibe of a cosmopolitan city. Local politics will not let this city become a cosmopolitan startup hub. Gurgaon is so so much better. - Everyone just wants to loot money, everything is expensive. Rent is high, landlord deducting 1 month extra rent, unnecessarily high security amount, cook and maid everything is so effin’ expensive - Alcohol is expensive. - Good food is expensive The value of money is lesser here as compared to the rest of the country. I have a flight tonight and I am so happy that it’s a one way flight. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but bangalore can be very lonely and it has been so for many of my friends. Particularly ease of life is much higher in NCR and that’s why a lot of people move back. Those who feel otherwise haven’t lived in NCR so Bangalore is more of just a bubble for them. Adios!
