Basic salary lesser than special allowance

CTC - 5 LPA (fixed) was written in JD Basic pay - 20k/month Flexible pay* - 18k/month 10% of Flexible pay is HRA PF - 2.5k/month I am not able to understand my take home or in-hand salary. Will i get 38k or 20k? would be great if you can give more info

Hey folks, I am bad at taxation and wanted some help with an offer I have. What would be by pre and post tax monthly ?salary. Breakup (monthly)- Basic: 41k HRA: 16k Special Allowance: 40k PF: 4.5k Variable: 5k So, assuming I get all that variable, my pre tax monthly pay would be approx 1L ? How do I calculate post tax? Also, any red flags in the breakup that I need to re -negotiate?

I make 50k now @chennai, got a Bangalore offer for 13LPA, got another one here for 10.5LPA. I need to pay 40k for my home, but I don't pay rent here. While I really want to move to Bangalore, I'm wondering if 13LPA is enough for my monthly 40k + rent + food + other day to day stuff. I know it's vague but I'm just want to know if I can or should I keep pushing for an higher package I'm new here, lmk of there a grapevine post "tax"

I want to know in-hand salary for 13.4 lpa which is fixed CTC I got and variable pay will be upto 10% depending on performance.

Hello all, so I'm a student still, I'll would be joining a company soon and I want to learn about what all tax systems we have and how do I manage them, I want to do them myself in future, where do I learn and what all should I be aware of to save as much as I can? To start with, I come under 30% bracket, basic salary is about 50% of my base, HRA being 20%, PF 6% and Flexible 24%. I don't have any loans on my name and I'll have to live on rent. I'm also curious on which sections could I be saving and how.
