Best piece of Advice for people in 20s
What is the best piece of advice you wanna give to people who are in their 20s?
1. Start investing from day-1, even if it’s 500 bucks, multiple free resources available in simple language
2. Try traveling for work/leisure abroad, it will open thought process, you’ll about multiple paths in life, not a single path which is defined by parents/family
3. Try listening, learning cross-functional stuff, connecting dots is a very essential human-skill
4. We Indians (especially middle/lower class) with heavy academic backgrounds never see health as an important area of life. Trust me, you can earn all the wealth but health will help you to enjoy it. A short 5k weekly run won’t cost anything but will yield handsome returns in later years of life.
5. Sutta/Daaru - College tak kiya na to look cool, post-college nobody will define coolness with substance abuse. Don’t touch such things.
1. Build skills that compounds your value.
2. Don’t work on something that you’re not passionate about. You can never win that game.
3. Find someone.

1. Extensively travel and explore. Meet new people. This will broaden your perspective. You’ll become more accepting.
2. Do random things that help you to identify your interests and core values.
3. You’ll get a girl or a guy, don’t chase.
For #3, an addition - Do keep yourself open to possibilities though
only take advice from people who have the same goals or similar altitudes.
an SDE giving advice to a sales guy won’t make sense the same way a chess player giving advice to a sprint runner won’t make sense.
1. Stop smoking. Have an accountability partner.
2. Exercise. Doesn't have to be gym. Just do 5 pushups.
3. Enjoy life. Splurge once a week instead of ordering Zomato every other day. No need for those regular small dopamine hits.
