Best ways to find angel investors

I am building a D2C fashion brand and need to raise money (20 Lakhs) to get things off the ground. I am from Tier-I IIT and a single founder. I have been trying to approach investors through multiple mediums. Cold mailing / LinkedIn. But things haven't worked. College alumni also don't seem to respond, let alone give any warm intro. How should I go about the fund raising process?

It's funding winter, may be they are not willing to invest in ur idea. There are 2 ways to approach this... 1. Again go to board and see if MVP to PMF journey is fine, if yes then go full throttle if wom of latter is good enough. 20 lacs is an amount which can be easily funded through various state startup policy or through angels. They are not investing coz either they don't trust ur biz model or product. 2. Pitch to your colleagues or relatives/family and raise this 2M. You will dilute very less to 0. No extrinsic pressure also. You can also consider crowdfunding platforms. Cheers 🥂 and have perseverance

Can't raise from friends and family. They can't support financially. Even I think that raising 15-20 lacs shouldn't be am issue. Just need one yes to get things going. I definitely don't want to go back to job. Brand strategy has received good reviews from your network. Hoping for the best.

It's possible. The only thing is that you'd want to go through an aggregator who can represent the investors.

How bad is the job market?

I am a '21 graduate from a Tier 1 college (old IIT) and have had short stints as product manager at a couple of startups. About a year back, I decided to startup but after a few months, realized that startup idea wasn't worth pursuing. Researched around a few startup ideas and finally landed upon a good one in D2C space. But the problem is financing. I don't have much saving and friends / family network wouldn't be able to finance this. I really want to pursue this idea but finance is becoming a hindrance. So started looking for job opportunities about 3 months back. I have been exploring work opportunities in product / founder office / EIR roles or other generalist role. Job hunt process has been frustrating to say the least. Getting very few calls. In most cases, people are ghosting after couple of rounds of interview or assignment. In some cases, after getting through 2-3 rounds, I got to know that opening has been closed temporarily. Most HRs don't even have the decency to give feedback. I don't intend to work in job for long anyway. As soon as I have the job, I plan to start working on my business idea and quit as soon as I have enough financial leeway. How should I go about job hunt process? I have been trying to connect with folks on LinkedIn in whose company job openings are there. Apart from this, I have been connecting with founders from recently funded startups. Naukri / Instahyre and IIM Jobs are other portals I have been looking on. Anything I should do differently here? Looking forward to hearing your suggestions / experience.

Tired of applying everywhere for funding.

Acquiring funding for a startup in india has become a hassle. I myself have been doing research on seed funding Vc's and angel investors. All they ask is pitch deck and LinkedIn profile. Which they don't even go through and just reply with an email saying we are not eligible for funding. On the other side US and other countries are getting funding at the ideation stage. I guess we can't even go for crowdfunding. Started building MVP, but halfway through the hurdle and unable to resume the development due to limited resources.
