Blinkit and surge charges

Did anyone observe that surge/demand charges were being charged on blinkit?? I didn't see with Zepto.

This happened while I was ordering for the sake of secret santa.

I never said its fair. I said its fairly common as in all these apps to it. Like it or not there is a price for convenience. Grocery margins are anyway thin with a huge burn rate, so yeah all quick commerce apps try to make money off us however they can.

Surge pricing kicks in when demand exceeds the number of serviceable customers.
If the customers are happy to pay the surge, and you're hitting your max stress levels, it is good for the business.

Either Zepto is far from its current capacity, or they don't know how to make money.
