CTC check

I find myself in a rather perplexing situation at work and could use some impartial advice. Currently, I am employed at an Indian e-commerce firm where I have put in a lot of hard work. However, during the recent annual cycle, I was not promoted, and my salary hike was disappointingly meager (CCTC 14.5LPA). Naturally, I expressed my concerns to my manager, who advised me to wait until the mid-cycle as my promotion case would be reconsidered then. In the meantime, I actively sought out new opportunities, and I have received an enticing offer from a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) firm with a significantly higher compensation of 24LPA. This is substantially more than what I'm currently earning, but less than my expected CTC that is around 28-30LPA. The confusion lies in the fact that my current firm has now initiated the promotion feedback process, and it's possible that I may get the promotion soon. I'm now torn between two choices: do I stay at my current job, potentially get the promotion, and then reconsider switching, or do I seize the opportunity at the CPG firm with the better financial package? I understand that both options have their pros and cons, but I'm finding it challenging to make a decision on my own. Any advice or insights you could provide would be immensely helpful in guiding me through this tough decision-making process. I have 6.5 + YOE and have a CTC of 20L (fixed + bonus) How do I achieve parity with regards to salary? My next appraisal cycle is in March but obviously due to the economic conditions my company might not give me a great raise even though my performance has been good this year. Any suggestions?

Principal Engineer with 13yoe. I have been assured of a promotion in July by my manager to Technologist position. That is, if they don't stop hikes and promotions for the whole company. Current TC: 40L fixed + 10L bonus + stocks Domain: Computer Vision + ML I feel like my current TC is average to lower average for a product based MNC. And it will be at least 5 years for the next promotion, if i stick to the same company. Will appreciate inputs from folks who have been in a similar situation. Thanks!

I'm a Software Engineer (Golang Developer) with 2+ YOE. my CTC is 10 LPA. 8L fixed + 2L performance bonus. am I being underpaid? considering the current market situation, I'm afraid to make a switch. what if another organisation does a layoff? How much of a hike should one expect while switching roles (for a PM role) I have started giving interviews and the expected CTC i had mentioned was with a 40% hike. Nope, i have received my appraisal in the range of 15%, due to good performance. Should I revise my expected CTC? How does this usually work?

So when i joined a product based company as SE(backend) in bengaluru back in 2019 my ctc was 8 .5 LPA( i know maybe less compare to peers back then), now after 4 years got the same amount collating all the bonus we get in current company (in pune) as monthly salary getting all proud feeling but at the same time gerting wired feeling as idk if valye of money has dropped or i was highly underpaid or maybe thats how the progression of payout is or maybe i am still behind should clock that much without a bonus.(which is half my monthly salary) do let me know if anyone has achieved this and what is your take on this?

I’m a software engineer at a mid size company. I have 1y3mo of work ex. Appraisals are around the corner, and although the work is great, the pay not so much. I earn less than 10LPA. How much of a hike should I deserve in this market assuming I have done a good job.

I am a backend engineer, working in a tech powered fashion company. Total experience: 3.5 yrs Current CTC : 24 lac fixed, 12 lacs ESOP in 4 years I joined as a software engineer, this April I will complete 2 years in current company, but Manager saying promotion might not be possible due to current situation and less promo slots available. I have been quite a good performer last 2 years , building a crucial project from scratch and handling everything alone due to short staffing. There is sole dependency on me for that project and company has ambitious golas with that project this year. Recently got SPOT award from skip manager as well. Only talked to manager last week , although we had made a promotion action plan few months back for my promotion this cycle and I meticulously followed every points in that plan , manager doesn't seem to be fighting much for my promotion, although he always says in my face that I am his star performer. I am really upset with this. What should I do ?? Talk to skip manager? Consider switching company ? Please suggest me. Thanks. P.S : work culture and wlb is good here. I have been working as an APM at a series C startup for the last 1 year. I did my MBA from a tier 1 college. Worked as a full stack developer for 2 years before that. Am I underpaid? What would be a fair market compensation. Should I try getting another PM job in a different company or switch back to being a dev. ( Not liking PM that much, the dev role was a better experience.)

Hey folks, so I am a 2022 graduate and I'll try to make this short as much as possible: * I was giving interview at a company for backend dev * Over the period got promoted from MTS to SMTS with CTC correction from 12.8 to 14.74 at my current company * Last Friday did the cultural fitment round * After following up got a call from HR saying they'll update me by this weekend * However I updated her with the information regarding role change and CTC correction * Now she asked what'll be your expectations * First, she asked whether I could shift with the same CTC, but I was hesitant, she took it as no. * I asked what is your range? She said there is no range * I told her as per market standard, she said I'll take 30% to herself as of now So I need help here: * what can I tell her? Or should I tell her something before the weekend or not? * Should I ask her if it'll be senior role as I am a SMTS now? Also, this is the current salary range as per Glassdoor of this company: * Sr. backend: 25 * SDE: 15 + 6 Additional info for my current company: * My manager said that my base will be matched with SMTS in April which is 18-24 * Also heard the news that the company will not give appraisal to anyone in April
