Underpaid Senior PM

Hi folks recently made transition as a product manager from marketing.My CTC is way below below market. Have spent around 8 months in the current company as a PM started giving interviews last week got 6 calls about to successfully convert one of them with many more companies lined up. Have been asking for 100% hike for salary correction as per market standards but companies are not even ready to give even 50% hike. Have you guys been facing the same issue ?

I have total 9 YOE and Accenture is my second company. I have spent more than 6.5 years in Accenture and currently at level 9. My total package is 16.5 (15 fixed+ 1.5 variable) . I work in Accenture Operations. I believe my package is low. Moreover Accenture India employees didn't get any increment in base salary this year. I have to buy house, car and manage my household expenses for nearly 11 members. What should I do?

One of my colleagues makes more money than me and also some other folks in the company. He's kind of a junior to us but making more than us. I know I shouldn't get bothered about this but it's easier to say than adopt that thinking. How do you folks deal with these kinds of things? [ Before someone says he might be good at the job I am working with them so I know he's pretty average. ]

I am a Tier 1 MBA grad with ~ 2 YOE, My CTC is 18 LPA. I have quit my job and I'm expecting a 25-30% hike for the next role (23 LPA) Is this a valid expectation to have? I know I'm already being underpaid, but considering the current market situation it seems difficult to get that kind of a raise. What should be the appropriate amount to quote?

In this year's appraisal cycle, I got a good performance rating but bad hike and no promotion 😔 Currently multiple projects are highly dependant on me, and it will be difficult for the company to find a good replacement (Subtle flex, but it's true), and due to this I feel like I'm underpaid at my current level. Have you ever been in a similar situation? How did you negotiate a better salary? Should I look for a better offer outside and ask my current org if they can match it or resign? Because next appraisal/promotion will only happen a year later from now. I’m a software engineer at a mid size company. I have 1y3mo of work ex. Appraisals are around the corner, and although the work is great, the pay not so much. I earn less than 10LPA. How much of a hike should I deserve in this market assuming I have done a good job.

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out for advice on a challenging situation I'm facing regarding my employment bond. Here's what happened: During my college placement, I was selected by a company for a developer role with a promised CTC of 3 LPA. Two days later, I was called to their office where the HR informed me that the CTC was "up to" 3 LPA, not exactly 3 LPA. Despite this, I accepted the offer and signed a bond for two years (including a six-month internship), also providing a cheque for 1 Lac as a security deposit. Now, as my internship is nearing completion, there's a final review meeting scheduled where they will restructure the CTC. During my internship, I learned from existing employees that the company is notorious for poor salary growth and minimal hikes. I feel trapped by the "up to" scheme and am worried about my future with this company. I'm seeking advice on how to navigate this situation and, if possible, save my 1 Lac cheque. How much of a hike should one expect while switching roles (for a PM role) I have started giving interviews and the expected CTC i had mentioned was with a 40% hike. Nope, i have received my appraisal in the range of 15%, due to good performance. Should I revise my expected CTC? How does this usually work?

I find myself in a rather perplexing situation at work and could use some impartial advice. Currently, I am employed at an Indian e-commerce firm where I have put in a lot of hard work. However, during the recent annual cycle, I was not promoted, and my salary hike was disappointingly meager (CCTC 14.5LPA). Naturally, I expressed my concerns to my manager, who advised me to wait until the mid-cycle as my promotion case would be reconsidered then. In the meantime, I actively sought out new opportunities, and I have received an enticing offer from a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) firm with a significantly higher compensation of 24LPA. This is substantially more than what I'm currently earning, but less than my expected CTC that is around 28-30LPA. The confusion lies in the fact that my current firm has now initiated the promotion feedback process, and it's possible that I may get the promotion soon. I'm now torn between two choices: do I stay at my current job, potentially get the promotion, and then reconsider switching, or do I seize the opportunity at the CPG firm with the better financial package? I understand that both options have their pros and cons, but I'm finding it challenging to make a decision on my own.
