Cabinet Clears Controversial One Nation, One Election Proposal
- The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal for simultaneous elections in India, as recommended by a committee led by former President Ram Nath Kovind. - Details of the proposal are still unclear and will be clarified at a Cabinet briefing by a Union minister at 3 pm. - The Kovind committee suggested a one-time measure to synchronize the terms of state assemblies with the Parliament. - Fresh elections would be held only for the remainder of the term if disrupted by events like a no-confidence motion. - Despite a reduced tally in the Lok Sabha, the BJP-led NDA government aims to implement this plan within its current term. Amazing! We need this one badly, how can a nation perform well when 1/4th of its state are going in election every year. Why carry out two separate elections for state and centre?
Fast and efficient election! Love it.

Not good for India like countries... We call India the Union of States....Central Govt. Whosoever in power will dominate....in the age of AI it's easy to create sentiments if that temp. sentiments will turn into votes that are not a positive sign...
Cost can be reduced in various other ways so why not start cutting the luxury expenses of Politicians.
Stupid move by the govt. People have a very low attention span. Now it will be very easy to fool the people. Sweep things under the rug. Complete stupidity.
