"I think the answer to the remedy question is an injunction against Google making any sort of payments or revenue share for search; if you’re a monopoly you don’t get to extend your advantage with contracts, period"

The DOJ brought the right kind of case against an Aggregator, which stagnates by being too nice; the goal is for companies to act like they actually have enemies.

Atleast not in the form it is now. Found a rare good post on LinkedIn via Twitter which lists the reason why i think so. Also, I was reading psychology of money and one of the chapters discussed how GE used to be the most valued company in 2000s and how within 20 years, everything went to manhole.

Google is seriously going through a leadership crisis. I hate Pichai from the gut. We Indians like him coz he's brown munda, but I have never seen such narrow minded CEO since Balmer.

OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman testified against Congress(USA wala) and the end result seems to be there will be global regulations on AI. There might be a transparency law that dictates what Data is used for training.

Now I have a few questions:

1. Is it a pro game move by OpenAI to slow down AI Training of smaller companies that are just starting out?
2. Since big tech has back door access to law makers lobby(as we saw in case if right to repair), will they bend the regulations per there liking?
3. Given countries like US and China have supremacy over AI Research, will it curtain AI Development in countries like India?
4. Will Google Bard again cry in trashcan?

I know everyone’s talking about Nadella’s impressive grab of Altman and his guys and the inevitable fall of OpenAI. But has anyone given thought to the possible for all AGI for public good?  How autonomous is this R&D group really now that Altman is just another big tech employee. 

I worry for the future of GPTs and its open source nature. Gork is yet to prove itself to GPT-4. But Bing has never had a better chance to surpass Google than this. Interesting to see how Google react.(js) (lol)
