Can someone please suggest a free resume builder application.
Most resume builder websites write FREE on their home page, but once user creates resume and tries to download, it asks for payment. :P

flowcv.com I don’t design resume alot, I like it materialistic and minimal. Clean and crisp, no fancies.
Yeah flowcv is great, even lets you host a portfolio page for free

Come on, Elon! This wasn't expected from you. At least talk about 3D or 4D resumes or something like the dynamic resume content - resume would read the interviewer's mind and change its content automatically. Microsoft Word, roflmao!
Do not use LaTeX or any design templates.
It just screams desperation.
Resume that stand out in terms of looks are pushed to bottom of stack.
Anything you write in Google docs is ATS friendly.
I've coded an ATS which is used in production today.
Pls don't overthink it, just one pager Google doc is more than enough till director or VP level, because beyond that resume don't matter, only reference matter.
If you suggest keeping a resume only limited to 1 page at any point of time can you help us by letting us know how to make sure to include all that's necessary is just one page!
My resume is 1 page.
Any director or VP resume I've seen is 1 page.
Any candidate with patents I've seen is also 1 page.
I make 80Lpa, directors I've interviewed make 2.5cr+.
Sde1's I've interviewed had 2-3 pages sometime 😂. Pls don't do this.
Any employer's want to see only last 3 employments in detail, it's rational.
Rest all is expected to be available upon request.
Of course at the bottom of resume you need to mention one line-
"12yrs cumulative at IBM, nvidia, Intel, etc"
Why >1page are bad?
- At any point recruiter or hiring manager is looking at 100k+ resume, so please develop empathy and make their life easier and make yourself noticed faster.
- Recruiters have wired their brain to forget everything that is beyond 1st page of a resume for a candidate, consider this evolutionary biology, their context window is limited 😂
- You don't appear humble, people want to work with humble people.
