Can we raise from equity tokens?

We are from trying to raise Funds for our startup, can anyone guide step by step.

Currently the authorised capital is 10lakhs, 1lakh shares and share price is 10. 50% stake is with me and 50% with my friend. We are building an app and need to hire some interns, pay some bills. My friends dad has agreed to give us 3 lakhs but wants 5%. My understanding was that this would be easy and we can just increase share price from 10 to 60 and issue roughly 5000 shares. But CA says that this will require a valuation report to be submitted to the MCA to justify share price increase on books. Is this true? Company has zero assets and liabilities obviously.

Hey grapes I have an idea for a startup that could generate millions in profits but I was wondering how and ways to approach angel investors, vc's etc for funding? Will they steal my idea and build their own startup?Do I need them to sign an NDA before pitching? Where and How can I contact them for the same? P.S: I do not know anything about raising funds and a newbie. Looking for help.

I got a offer where i will get the equity. Does people really make money when company get sold considering in my case if i get 1% equity. Also how does it work? Suppose when we start valuation of the company is 1 cr so my part will be 1L. Now in the next round suppose the valuation is 10cr then does it increase my equity to 10L or it dilute my % of equity? Suppose if the company is sold at 100cr, do i really get 1 cr? Kindly let me know how it works and really people make money or not if it get sold.

Hi everyone, I joined a startup back in May which started in May itself. I wrote the first line of code and it has been the backend work since then and have hired a few interns along the way. I took some pay cut to join this startup and i didn't receive any share/ESOPs as well in my offer letter. but whenever i talk to my friends who have worked or are working in these types of companies, ask me to ask for the ESOPs/equity from my founder. I did talk about equity/ESOPs before accepting my offer letter but that time, they said, you will be issued ESOPs later on when we raise some funding. We will make some ESOPs plan when we raise funding. I know that our company has only raised friends and family round of amount near to 1cr. Now I need advice on.. should i bring up this conversation again with the company's founder ? And how much percentage of equity should I be asking..? given that I am giving my 101% daily and leading the backend team.. although i have industry experience of only 3 years but have good academic achievements and has completed graduation in computer science in tier-1 college.

I was offered COO position at a startup. Both the founders are from Tech background and want me to overlook the day-to-day operations including marketing, sales, finance and customer success atleast for the next 1 year. Although the startup was started 2 years ago, it was in stealth mode and started generating a couple of lakh revenue in the last few months. Raised funds from family and friends round of about 1.5 Crore. What is the ideal equity amount that I can ask for considering the cash component is bare minimum?

I've a great idea and it's validated after talking to more than 50 founders/head of sales. Questions - 1. What's the process of getting a domain/and checking if the domain/product name is not a brand name globally anywhere? 2. Wrt raising funding, any founders here who can throw some light on how much salaries you used to take? I am not very inclined towards bootstrapping rn. 3. Kya dikat hai bhai, udane do paisa. Tumhare thodi hai. Good firms genuinely perform well and return money. The ecosystem is not forgiving -- you don't survive very long if you don't create any big wins. It's an extremely high stress job with very little WLB. You do make money but it comes at a cost. Layoffs are sad but at least those jobs existed in the first place? They wouldn't without VC money. India's VC scene is extremely young and it'll take time before we produce a Google. Entrepreneurs are not always right, they are not always nice either; but they definitely are courageous.
