Now being 1 year in the Analytics industry i am

I m Tier 1 MBA with 3.5 years of experience in Strategy and Marketing. 
Took a paycut on my 2022 CTC to join a great company in a great role in 2023 during all layoff scenes of early 2023.
This year also I m expecting hardly 7 - 8% hike.

It is frustrating 😞. Salary day is the saddest day for me. My current in hand is lesser than my 2nd year salary.

Hi! I want to streamline my career in data science domain. Currently into data analytics role where mostly work is on data visualisation and predictive modelling. I want to grow in this field but I want those roles which are mix of both management and tech. Are there any such roles in this field? Or is it hardcore coding only? Would like to understand what companies look for in aspiring candidates in this domain? In which areas one should become proficient to get a heft package? and will this field grow in next 5 years and will it be more immune to layoffs?

I’m currently working at a B2B SaaS company as a PM. I have a great interest in analytics but not getting enough exposure here and my role has just got so redundant and more like project manager. 
It’s been really difficult in the last couple of months as growth seem to have stopped and I am really scared about my career.

Current Comp - ~17LPA fixed with some Esops 

Should I consider switching to analytics ( I am confident about my skills which will get me something in analytics ) given my current situation or try to get another good role in PM to which the market has been really cruel lately.

I have total 9 YOE and Accenture is my second company. I have spent more than 6.5 years in Accenture and currently at level 9. My total package is 16.5 (15 fixed+ 1.5 variable) . I work in Accenture Operations. I believe my package is low. Moreover Accenture India employees didn't get any increment in base salary this year.

I have a tier - II MBA, 5 years of work-ex post MBA. I currently work in marketing and the pay is good. However, I struggle with my mental health in this role, especially because I am an introvert who deals with ADHD. I have figured out that IC roles with minimal dependency on other people is where I thrive. I also like working with data in my role, whenever I get the chance to do so.

 I figured that Data Analytics/Science could be one of the fields that I could work well in.

Started my professional journey at a friend's startup amidst the pandemic, delving into edutech and grocery MVP consulting when job options were scarce.

Career Progression:
•Began as a manual tester and swiftly climbed the ranks to QA manager, product manager, social media manager, talent acquisition, lead ops, scrum meetings host, business analyst, and reporting manager—all within three years.

Challenges and Contributions:
• Joined a team of 5, facing tight deadlines and escalating challenges.
• Non-tech background but injected administrative skills, streamlining project management and operational processes.
• Conducted 100-200 interviews monthly, meticulously filtering candidates on a tight budget.

Burnout and Promises:
• Burnout from 12-13 hour workdays, skipping holidays.Assurances of growth for everyone as the company expands. 
• Promised on reimbursement , which didn't happen.

Shift in Dynamics:
• After 2 years, team expanded to 30 members.
• Entry of a senior manager triggered organizational changes, leading to politics and misunderstandings.
• Company achieved its goals, securing a pre-seed investment of 3.5 million USD.

Unexpected Turn:
• Migrated everyone to a new company post-OKRs, except for me.
• Left without a role and dismissed due to the absence of a space for non-technical roles.
• Was quiet fired with alot of trauma. But was strong enough to get back on my feet

Upskilling and Unfair Reviews:
• Upskilled as a data analyst but was left out of review sessions, necessitating self-initiation.
• Access to the CEO, once easy, became challenging post the senior manager's arrival.

• Underpaid with a CTC of 3.5 LPA with a failed promise of hike 
• Transitioned to data analysis through sheer hustle and determination.

Joined Fintech(Paytm) last year with 3.5 YOE - 31LPA(Base)
[Current] LaidOff but Got an offer in a SaaS company during my NP - 31LPA(Base)

YOE - 4.5 Years

Most of the companies I interviewed for were not able to match my current fixed because of which I took this offer. Now I feel like my Base is low as compared to the market average in terms of YOE which makes me worry about my career’s progression. Do you also feel the same? 

But at the same time I am grateful that in this job market, I have got a job. What do you think? Am I rationally thinking here? I live with my parents and they are partially dependent on me. I hope I have made a correct decision.

Salary expectation for freshers

Hi, I have recently made a move from Acn ATCI to S&C as a Management Consulting Analyst which I'm happy about but as this was an internal movement I didn't get any hike or change in the Pay.
