🚨 Career Dilemma: Need Your Help! 🚨

I got three job offers for SDE2. I accepted the offer (30LPA) with the lowest pay but loved the interview process, loved how they didn't waste my time (offer rolled in 2 weeks). Even their Google reviews and Glassdoor has 5 stars. Early stage startup, but they have a tech product with a very bright future (seed funded). And culture is amazing, founders are bright. Second offer was from a mid-sized fintech startup (series C funded). Offer was for 34 lakhs. The interview process was okay but that set me off was that they wanted to conduct another design round after my final Hiring Manager interview as their team categorised my interview as "Weak Hire". They even told me that to my face. 😂 I cleared the subsequent design round but the whole process was lengthy (1 month). Third offer is from an AI company with horrible glassdoor reviews. They took 2 months of time to finish the entire interview process. Even the product doesn't seem like it will survive in next 4-5 years. Offer from them is 42 LPA. I got laid off a couple of months ago, so instead of higher pay I went to the company where I could learn more, get good peers, and increase my skillset. I hope that this decision makes sense. I tried to negotiate with Company A but they were unwilling to go beyond 30, I did mention I have other offers which are higher. I didn't include the joining bonus and ESOP components in all companies, but they are there.

Hi Folks, A bit of self introduction: Total experience: 6.5 years Designation: SSE backend Industry: SaaS I currently have 3 offers in hand. Two confirmed and one is in the last stage of interviewing. The two offers are from AZIRA (previously NEAR intelligence) and FIVETRAN for java SSE back end role. Both are based out of Bangalore. The last one is from EA games Hyderabad which is a contract role by a 3rd party parent company. The TC offered by Fivetran is 40 LPA and and Azira is open to discussion to match it if I am willing to join them. The EA sports contract role is coming near to 36 LPA. FIVETRAN: I will be joining the sql database connector team with US counterparts as its completely developed by them and it is being transferred to India. So I am guessing there will be more maintenance work involved here at odd hours. Will have to connect with US peers for first few months for all the kt. Also in my last company, most of the work I did is around data movement (ETL) and connectors in house. So I have some decent understanding of how the work is going to be. I am also afraid that the work is going to be a bit boring due to my past experience. AZIRA: Not much info here. Very few Glassdoor reviews. Couldn’t draw any conclusion. The whole engineering team size is relatively small (30-40) and all are based out of india. So it will be easy for me in terms of communication and collaboration. EA: Again not much info here. There are many internal projects and I might join any of them if selected as a contract employee. Mostly I’ll not be joining EA due to location constraint. But am not able to decide between Azira and fivetran. Help me with all your first hand experiences please.

I am a software engineer with approx 3 YOE. I have offers from two companies both of which have their own merits and demerits. I'm having a hard time deciding which company should I join. Mentioning the details of the companies and offer below: Company A: 1. Public company (not profitable, but good revenue growth over the last two years) 2. Get to join an existing team and project to work on interesting distributed systems challenges 3. Salary: 60 LPA cash + 10 LPA RSUs (with annual refresher grants) 4. Fully remote, don't need to relocate 5. Career growth would be typical to that offered by a large startup (around 2000 employees) Company B: 1. Private company, profitable, excellent revenue growth, planning to IPO in the next 3 years at a ~$10B valuation (which is reasonable considering their growth) 2. Get to be a founding engineer of a new team and work on a completely new project, involving very hard distributed systems challenges 3. Salary: 41 LPA cash + 3000 NSO units (will increase as I get promoted) 4. Hybrid, need to relocate to a different city 5. Excellent career growth opportunity as the project has a visibility at a senior executive level

Without disclosing numbers & names, I’m currently a PM at an AI unicorn Salary - 20LPA + 200 ESOPs (2L value, 50 will vest in March.) (Hike due April) Job Offer - 25LPA + ESOPs (8.5L value) (Gaming/eSports company, which is kinda my passion) I had initially asked for 30LPA but the company came back saying the max they’ll be able to do is 25LPA fixed. Looking for opinions on what I should do.

Offer 1: Major Indian ecommece startup (IPO expected in 2 years) Base- 66 Bonus- 10 ESOPs- 42 over 4 years (~10 per year) Annual TC- 86 Offer 2: US based Fortune 1000 (IPO in 2018) Base- 54 Annual RSU- 29 Signon Bonus- 8 Annual TC- 91 (1st year), 83 (2nd year onwards) Getting inclined towards the 1st offer owing to nature of its interesting work and a base heavy component. Swiggy:- Role offered:- Business Analyst Comp:- 15 LPA (all fixed) no JB, no ESOPs Location:- Remote (Huge Plus for Me) Meesho:- Role offered:- Business Analyst Comp:- 14 LPA (base) + 2 LPA ESOPs + 1 LPA JB Location:- Bangalore Folks from Swiggy and Meesho , Please Guide your pal on the basis of work culture , growth prospects and overall career trajectory. Personally I am inclined towards Swiggy due to remote working policy but don’t want to make a decision solely on the basis of it.

Hey everyone! I'm currently working as a senior analytics guy (overall work experience of ~5.5 years) and am looking for a switch. Here are the 2 options that I have for now: 1. Amazon (BA II) offering a fixed of 32L, to join in Hyderabad for a team where majority people sit out of Seattle. 2. Bolt (a startup based out of Estonia, primarily dealing in ride sharing, food delivery and others) offering ~€70k annually as fixed compensation (relocation sponsored). Currently a bit confused as I haven't heard really great reviews about Amazon, but at the same time don't know how the move to relocate internationally for the first time will work. Did a light research on salary and cost of living in Estonia, and found out that this is a pretty good number to get. Does anyone have any idea either about how WLB is at Amazon or at Bolt? What would be a better move here? (Bolt offering the role of an Analytics lead)

Hey all, I could really use some advice here. I'm a software developer working in a small service-based company, and I've been here for 1.5 years. My initial contract is ending this month, and now I have to decide whether to sign another bond to stay for another year. Here's the thing: I don't want to sign the bond. I feel like it's time to explore new opportunities, but I'm also worried about the job market. I currently don't have any offers on hand. For context, I'm working in Surat and I'm open to opportunities in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Coimbatore. My current CTC is 2.5 LPA, and if I stay, I'll get a bump to 3.8 LPA. Should I take the risk and start applying to new jobs, or should I play it safe and stick around for another year? How hard is it to get a job in those cities right now? Any advice or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
