Career Planning
A friend of mine has 4 years of experience in Treasury and FP&A (<6M) and is intending to look for a career switch into something more generic (Ex: Program Management). He has graduated from a top B-school and is unsure if it the right move. Could the community here throw some light as to how to shape his career?
Does not look like a good move. Here's why:
1. Treasury and FP&A is much better to be in because ideally longer experience plays into better opportunities.
2. ProdMan was a deeply ZIRP era moment. We are not sure if it ever will come back.
In his current firm, he feels like FP&A is a dead end. How to evaluate firms if they have good FP&A roles or not?
