ChatGPT (4) vs Bard

I am using chatgpt-4, paid subscription and would say that it just works good and helps me increase productivity at work. (i work in equity research and model validation profiles). Recently after Geminis Pro launch, i took their 2 months free trial to see how useful gemini is. While working with chatgpt-4, i have used bard several times as a kind of second opinion. However after using Gemini Pro, i think it is far from chatgpt-4 in several ways, it might be better at comprehension sometimes than chatgpt, but it has several issues. No option to upload pdf or csv or anything. Often tells that it can't write code while gemini pro claims it can. For pdf it tells that pls upload to drive and share link, but then refuse saying it doesn't have capabilities to read links. So, in all, gemini is not up to the mark. I was also ready to pay second subscription for gemini if it helped, but, still far. Anyone of you have any thoughts on this? Any tricks for gemini to make it work better if i am missing something here.

With the encouraging developments, I wanted to crowdsource the best use cases so that I can utilize it even better For me: 1) Personal: Using it for movies. My prompt is typically: What genre film I want, what are films in that genre I like, they should be produced after year 2005, and they should have a rotten tomatoes audience score above 85%. It works beautifully well. Some of the best movies I'd never discovered. 2) Work: Building draft replies and being able to save them to Text Blaze. Stuff like "Not interested" or "Set up meeting" (which automatically includes my Calendly link etc.). Makes going past inbox very smooth. Curious to hear from the rest of you :)

Crazy times we live in

One of my friends recently started learning programming(ofc Data science) and he asked me a few questions about creating good projects for his resume. While having this conversation, we were talking about how to effectively debug the code. I asked him to check for solutions from the stack overflow, and instead he asked me, “What’s Stack Overflow?” Then I asked him how would he resolve the errors when he run into them and he said “ChatGPT”💀
