You are mixing 2 things. Rise of the cost of living and Growth in salary, both are proportional.
The average pay raise in Europe is less than 5%. They pay a flat 50% tax and monthly rent is almost 50% of your in-hand pay.

India is not more cheapest, now Vietnam, Philippines, Poland & Romania is. All major jobs are now being outsourced from IN to those locations.
