Curious to how much research do you all put in before getting a CC ? What are some of the key things you like for in a credit card? If a new player were to launch a card, what is a differentiator that you think would make you get the card

Usually, if I see some scheme/discount on a credit card, I check it out and if its free to apply, I apply ¯_(ツ)_/¯
If there’s a missing category of expense which have now become more like e.g. fuel. And my current CC isn’t giving much benefit there then I look for the best in that category. And if possible that could be coupled with some other category too

I woukd definitely love a credit card that reminds me upfront about my due date though if the credit card charges for it I will be very happy to pay for it.
Also easy to find offers my current credit card it is an pain to find out what offers my credit card has it should not be so difficult
Rewards and perks is what I look for when applying.
Customer support is also a point to consider. While making big purchases you don't want to use a card that may not credit the rewards on time or support is difficult to reach in case transactions have any issues.
