Don’t come bro if you have some other option, bullshit culture, all comms happen on WhatsApp and leadership is clueless, lala company. Only thing they have is scale, but the infra is inadequate so simple things will take 2x-3x time

Hey Folks, Since I come from software engineering background so looking for some help from you all. 

One of my friend has about 6yr of experience working as Senior DataScientist and he is pretty good at the work. I see him continuously brushing up with almost latest things happening in ML space. He is now looking for job switch but struggling to get interview call and not able to clear rounds for scheduled interviews. Something is going off in his case, dont know what. 

I really want to help him so Pls help me with this question -

1. What are the companies hiring for DS2 or Senior DS role for now?
2. What is the expectation from a Data Science candidate in the interviews?
3. What are the popular interview questions that are being asked these days?
4. If possible please share your recent interview questions.

Quite a lot of employers are posting online claiming to be hiring, but candidates seem to be not getting any response after sending email/DM to that HR who posted. 
  
 I myself have applied to an entry level opening at a very well known and establish vehicles related product company. Literally entry level role with 6 months to 1.5yr YoE (I have 1YoE), yet I've not got any response. And they keep reposting the same opening over and over and over, to the point where I feel they are actually not hiring, but just updating their hiring work quotas as they were lazy AF HRs all through the FY23-24.

Received an inbound request for Principal PM role with PayPay in Tokyo. Has anyone here in India  interviewed with PayPay for any roles. 


Have generally heard Japanese to be very hardworking. 
They mention you don't need English for your day to day job, but for life outside work English will be of limited use.
Also racism is another fear in these Other Asian economies 
They haven't shared the  potential compensation ranges yet . Couldn't find much online too.

Having a good life in Bangalore currently working for MNC.

Current CTC:  100L+ with 11L YoE

Next month I will be getting laid off. Our startup is shutting down because of no funding I am a frontend dev there it's almost 5months I have been working there before that I worked for 8 months as a frontend intern in another startup.
My question is what is the main platform I need to focus on or any technique or anything you want to say that might help me to find a new job pls do comment It would be super helpful. If you were in my position what step you would take or any technique you would use that might help you to get a job easily without waiting for months?
