Designer’s career after 45

Worked on UX DESIGN, mobile apps, FE , micro service, devops, AR/VR, AI & ML. Holds 25+ patents. AMA!

I myself am looking for product design roles. All I see on linkedin and other job portals is that companies only looking for Product Designer 2 candidates/mid-senior/lead designers. Even if I see any PD1 role, they ask for minimum 1 year experience (internship experience no included). I don’t understand the rationale behind it. Its getting tough now that I am looking for a job since 2 months and its tiring. Is there anyone who understands the current market trend and has an insight about when junior/entry level designers can expect jobs to reopen? Would love to get your speculations on the hiring scene of upcoming months.

What is the plan after 40 yrs who work in IT industry? Do you think you will be able to survive after 40 yrs? Career ladder becomes narrow if you keep going up and after some point you either survive? If you have any thoughts pls share..

“You should get married on time” To the married folks, would it be different if you would have married later in life? From a personal or objective POV, what’s your take 32+ M here and not yet married.

I was curious, that what will happen to the people who are right now working in growth, program managers, or in fact as business analysts, SDEs after 15 years. I am 25 Years old right now, and all I can see is people aged between 21-30 in startups. 30-35 year old people are less than 5% of the workforce. After 10 years, all my age group people will be 35, and all the roles I see at that age, are too scarce. Will it be too difficult to switch jobs then, or career, hikes will kinda stagnate there? Want to know from other experienced people that where does the crowd go?

Hi guys, I am in my final year of college and will be starting at Ford as a SWE (which I am grateful for considering the job market). However, in the past few weeks UI/UX has really peaked my interest. Since my teenage, I really loved computers but wasn't really sure what I loved about them so I studied Computer Science at uni. How can I switch my careers now? Also, wanted to know about salaries in this field (not a priority but definitely weighs in decision making as someone from middle class).

I have my senior managers who are 32-33 and are making 1cr+ per year. What do people do at the age of 40 or 50 Is there a scope for further salary increments or role increments? Unless someone works at a company like HUL, what is the future?
