I would say get your hands dirty by just starting it out rather than tutorials.  
 Learn to dockerize the frontend and backed. Once dockerized create a free test account on AWS and create a basic task and run the containers in the task. Once this done setup a ci cd pipeline by using gitlab pipelines for your code. Now you will get to know basics of devops after that read a lot of blogs on pipelines, aws infrastructure and resources, docker andenhance your basic devops skills to advance by taking care of all problem and error that might occur and you will rock the devops. Also don’t forget to use terraform or IAC tools.

Hi All,

I need suggestion from everyone from software/cloud/devops industry. As right i in a very worst condition. After working 2 years straight as aws cloud engineer i joined a product based company which promised that the work i’ll be doing is will be related cloud, devops and automation. But since one year i haven’t got any work which was promised else they provide me work to automate onprem network devices automation that too i have to request my team to give me some work. As i am the only one in the team who knows automation and cloud related things. I try to gave some interviews but some say no because of current salary and for some of them they have very high expectations as i am 3 years experienced guy. Can anyone who have been through same situation please guide me or help as i really wanted to grow technically but i am unable to.

Unable to switch job in Devops Engineer Field

I am writing this with a lot of disappointment. 
I have been working in TCS from the past 3 years. I got allocated to a project which required very little technical knowledge. As a result of this, I have not gained any technical experience. 
I have been trying to learn DevOps. There isn’t a shortage of resources as there’s plenty of them online. However what I find the most challenging is that I am unable to create projects of my own. Most of the online tutorials do not spend quality time on teaching how to replicate them locally. 
Most of them are on cloud (AWS/Azure) which require a subscription. 
It wold be great to get some guidance on how to proceed with devops and how I can switch to the field without technical experience.

I have completed my B. Tech few days ago. Working in a small startup for 3lpa and I am not getting any projects to work. Initially I was trained to work in spring boot .
